About the Role

Our client is looking for a highly skilled Senior Bioinformatics Scientist to join their expanding, fully remote team. This position is critical for advancing our understanding of biological data through advanced computational analysis. You will be responsible for developing and implementing scalable bioinformatics pipelines, interpreting complex omics datasets, and collaborating with a diverse, geographically dispersed team of researchers and data scientists. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and maintain robust bioinformatics pipelines for analyzing large-scale biological data (e.g., genomics, transcriptomics).
• Perform sophisticated data analysis to identify biological insights, biomarkers, and therapeutic targets.
• Collaborate with molecular biologists, geneticists, and other research scientists to interpret results and design experiments.
• Utilize statistical methods and machine learning techniques to extract meaningful patterns from complex datasets.
• Contribute to the development of data visualization tools and reporting dashboards.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in bioinformatics tools, algorithms, and relevant biological domains.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in bioinformatics, with a focus on analyzing large biological datasets.
• Strong programming skills in Python or R, and experience with bioinformatics software packages and databases.
• Expertise in next-generation sequencing (NGS) data analysis.
• Proficiency in statistical analysis and experience with machine learning techniques.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, essential for success in a fully remote , team-based environment.
