About the Role
Our client, a forward-thinking pharmaceutical company, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Biostatistician to join their expanding team in Edinburgh . This role is integral to the design and analysis of clinical trials, ensuring robust statistical methodologies are applied to generate reliable and interpretable data. You will collaborate closely with clinical operations, data management, and regulatory affairs teams to provide statistical expertise throughout the drug development process. This is a significant opportunity for a seasoned biostatistician to contribute to critical research projects and influence the direction of pharmaceutical development.
Key Responsibilities
- Design clinical trial statistical analysis plans (SAPs) in collaboration with clinical teams and regulatory experts.
- Perform complex statistical analyses of clinical trial data using statistical software packages.
- Interpret statistical results and prepare reports and presentations for internal stakeholders and regulatory submissions.
- Provide statistical expertise and guidance on study design, sample size calculations, and data analysis methodologies.
- Ensure statistical methodologies and documentation meet regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, EMA).
- Contribute to the development of statistical programming standards and best practices.
Requirements
- Master's or PhD degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, or a related quantitative field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Biostatistician in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
- Proficiency in statistical software such as SAS, R, or similar programming languages.
- Strong understanding of clinical trial design, statistical principles, and regulatory guidelines.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work within multidisciplinary teams.
