About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Blockchain Architect to join their leading team in Oxford . This pivotal role involves designing and overseeing the implementation of scalable, secure, and robust blockchain architectures that align with business objectives. You will be responsible for technical strategy, leading architectural decisions, and guiding development teams through the complexities of distributed ledger technology. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of various blockchain protocols, consensus mechanisms, and their application in solving real-world problems within the crypto and blockchain industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and architect comprehensive blockchain solutions, including network topology, consensus mechanisms, and data models.
• Evaluate and select appropriate blockchain platforms and technologies (e.g., Ethereum, Hyperledger Fabric, Polkadot) for specific use cases.
• Develop technical roadmaps and specifications for blockchain implementation projects.
• Provide expert guidance on security, scalability, interoperability, and governance of blockchain systems.
• Lead and mentor development teams on best practices for blockchain development and deployment.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical blueprints.

Requirements

• Extensive experience (7+ years) in software architecture, with a proven specialization in blockchain architecture .
• Deep knowledge of various blockchain platforms, consensus algorithms, and smart contract development.
• Experience designing and implementing enterprise-grade decentralized applications (dApps).
• Strong understanding of cryptography, distributed systems, and network security.
• Proficiency in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts.
