Senior Blockchain Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Blockchain Engineer to join their dedicated technology team based in Oxford . You will be instrumental in designing, developing, and deploying advanced blockchain solutions and decentralized applications. This role requires a deep understanding of blockchain technology, a passion for innovation in the crypto and blockchain space, and the ability to contribute significantly to high-impact projects. You will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to build the next generation of decentralized services.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of scalable and secure blockchain protocols and applications.
• Develop and optimize smart contracts using languages such as Solidity or Rust.
• Integrate blockchain solutions with existing systems and third-party APIs.
• Conduct thorough code reviews, testing, and performance tuning of blockchain components.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to establishing best practices in blockchain development.
• Research and propose new technologies and approaches to enhance our blockchain offerings.

Requirements

• Extensive professional experience as a Blockchain Engineer or Software Engineer with blockchain expertise.
• Strong proficiency in smart contract development and blockchain architecture.
• Deep understanding of consensus mechanisms, cryptography, and distributed systems.
• Experience with popular blockchain platforms like Ethereum, Polygon, or similar.
• Familiarity with web3 libraries and frameworks is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in our Oxford office environment.
