About the Role

Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Blockchain Engineer to lead innovative projects from their office in Sunderland, Tyne and Wear, UK . You will be responsible for the architectural design, development, and implementation of scalable and secure blockchain solutions, contributing significantly to the company's position at the forefront of the Crypto & Blockchain industry. This role demands a deep understanding of distributed ledger technologies and the ability to mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence. Key Responsibilities

• Design and architect robust, scalable, and secure blockchain solutions and distributed systems.
• Develop and deploy smart contracts, decentralized applications (dApps), and blockchain network infrastructure.
• Lead code reviews, providing constructive feedback to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering their growth and technical development.
• Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to define technical roadmaps and project requirements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues within the blockchain ecosystem.

Requirements

• Extensive experience (5+ years) as a Blockchain Engineer or in a similar role.
• Strong proficiency in blockchain development languages (e.g., Solidity, Go, Rust) and protocols (e.g., Ethereum, Hyperledger Fabric).
• Deep understanding of distributed ledger technology, consensus algorithms, and cryptographic principles.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with the Crypto & Blockchain landscape and emerging trends.
• Proven leadership and mentorship capabilities.
