Senior Blockchain Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Blockchain Engineer to join their dynamic team in Birmingham . In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining advanced blockchain solutions that power innovative financial products. You will work on critical infrastructure, contributing to the integrity and scalability of our client's decentralized platforms. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement robust, secure, and scalable blockchain protocols and decentralized applications (dApps).
• Write high-quality, efficient, and well-tested smart contracts using industry-standard languages and tools.
• Optimize existing blockchain architectures for performance, security, and cost-effectiveness.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, and operations, to deliver integrated solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues within the blockchain ecosystem.
• Contribute to the technical strategy and roadmap for the company's blockchain initiatives.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in software engineering, with at least 3 years focused on blockchain development .
• Strong expertise in smart contract programming languages such as Solidity and experience with relevant frameworks (e.g., Ganache, Remix).
• Deep understanding of distributed ledger technology, consensus algorithms, and cryptographic principles.
• Experience with integrating blockchain solutions with existing systems and APIs.
• Proficiency in at least one backend programming language (e.g., Node.js, Python, Go).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and security.
