About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Blockchain Security Engineer to join their fully remote team, supporting operations out of Oxford . This critical role is focused on ensuring the security and integrity of our blockchain infrastructure and decentralized applications within the fast-paced Crypto & Blockchain industry. You will be responsible for identifying vulnerabilities, developing robust security protocols, and implementing cutting-edge security measures to protect our assets and user data. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth security audits and vulnerability assessments of smart contracts, blockchain protocols, and dApps.
• Develop and implement security best practices, standards, and guidelines for blockchain development.
• Design and deploy security solutions to protect blockchain networks from various threats.
• Perform threat modeling and risk analysis for new blockchain projects and features.
• Investigate and respond to security incidents, providing timely and effective resolution.
• Stay abreast of emerging security threats and vulnerabilities in the blockchain space and develop proactive defense strategies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with a significant focus on blockchain security.
• Strong understanding of blockchain technology, smart contract security, cryptography, and distributed systems.
• Proficiency in code auditing, vulnerability assessment, and penetration testing techniques.
• Experience with security tools and frameworks relevant to blockchain (e.g., Mythril, Slither).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote team.
