Senior Business Development Manager
Location: Central West Scotland
Salary: Competitive, depending on experience

This is a great opportunity to join an established construction business and play an important role in the continued growth of its Central West Scotland operation.
You’ll be part of a supportive team with opportunities for development, progression and long-term career growth. The role would suit someone who enjoys building relationships, spotting opportunities and playing a key role in winning new work.
What You'll Do
Lead business development and work-winning activity across the region.
Identify new opportunities and develop a strong pipeline in target markets.
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, consultants, partners and key stakeholders.
Manage key customer accounts and develop relationships that generate future opportunities.
Support tender and bidding activity, using customer and market knowledge to strengthen submissions.
Work with the senior management team to support business and growth strategies.
Represent the business at industry events, conferences, networking opportunities and customer meetings.
Maintain engagement with local markets and communities.
Identify opportunities to work collaboratively across the wider business.
Keep the CRM up to date and provide regular reports on pipeline and business development activity.
What You'll Need
Proven experience in business development, work-winning or a related commercial role.
Strong networking and relationship-building skills.
Good commercial awareness and an understanding of customer requirements.
The ability to identify opportunities and think strategically.
Excellent communication, influencing and presentation skills.
Strong organisational and IT skills, including CRM experience.
The ability to work independently and take ownership.
Experience within construction, infrastructure, engineering, property or the wider built environment would be advantageous.
