Key Responsibilities

• Lead strategic sourcing activities for key categories of spend, identifying cost-saving opportunities.

• Manage the end-to-end procurement process from requisition to payment, ensuring compliance and efficiency.
• Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with a diverse range of suppliers.
• Analyse market trends, supplier performance, and spend data to inform procurement strategies.
• Mentor and guide junior members of the purchasing team, fostering a culture of excellence.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in a Senior Buyer or equivalent strategic sourcing role.
• Proven track record of successful negotiation and contract management.
• Strong understanding of procurement principles, market dynamics, and supply chain management.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Proficiency with procurement software and data analysis tools.
• Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., CIPS) are highly desirable for this position in Coventry .
