Senior Catering Supervisor

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Catering Supervisor to join their team in Belfast . In this hands-on role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of catering services, supervising a team of catering staff and directly contributing to the quality of food and service delivered. You will play a key part in maintaining high standards of food hygiene and customer satisfaction, working closely with the Catering Manager to achieve operational goals and uphold the company’s reputation. Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and guide a team of catering assistants and junior staff during service periods.
• Assist in food preparation, cooking, and presentation according to established recipes and standards.
• Ensure all catering areas are clean, organized, and meet stringent hygiene and safety regulations.
• Manage stock levels, assist with inventory checks, and report any shortages or issues.
• Provide excellent customer service, addressing client needs and resolving any immediate concerns.
• Support the Catering Manager in training new staff and maintaining team performance.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a supervisory or senior role within the catering or hospitality industry .
• Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices (e.g., HACCP awareness).
• Excellent team leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to high standards.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends, as required.
