Are you an experienced Characterization, Silicon Validation or High-Speed Electronics Engineer looking for a role where you can work on some of the most advanced semiconductor technologies in the industry?

We are working with a leading global semiconductor technology company that is expanding its engineering team in Bristol and is looking for a Senior Characterization Engineer to take a leading role in the development and validation of next-generation high-speed optical and electrical semiconductor products .

This is a highly hands-on role combining semiconductor characterization, signal integrity, high-frequency measurement, test automation and data analysis .

You will lead the planning and execution of bench and PVT characterization activities for new semiconductor products, working closely with international engineering teams across the UK, North America and Mexico.

You'll be responsible for taking products from initial test setup through to characterization, analysis and technical reporting while also driving improvements in test automation and engineering efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead characterization activities for new product introductions (NPI), including test planning, equipment selection, hardware preparation and fixture development.
• Develop and bring up robust, repeatable automated test environments .
• Develop Python-based test automation and automated measurement methods.
• Perform hands-on characterization using advanced electronic test equipment.
• Analyse large and complex datasets to identify performance trends, issues and opportunities for improvement.
• Investigate and troubleshoot complex hardware and signal integrity issues.
• Produce detailed technical reports and present findings to cross-functional engineering teams.
• Support improvements to characterization processes, automation and test methodologies. xwwtmva
