About the Role

Our client is seeking a results-oriented Senior Chemical Engineer with a specialization in process optimization to join their team in Derby . You will be responsible for analyzing performance data, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing innovative solutions. Key Responsibilities

• Lead initiatives to optimize existing chemical processes, focusing on yield, throughput, and cost reduction.
• Analyze process data using statistical methods and process simulation tools to identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement.
• Develop and implement control strategies and process modifications to achieve performance targets.
• Conduct feasibility studies for process improvements and new technology implementations.
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and R&D teams to ensure successful implementation of optimization projects.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance on process optimization to junior engineers and plant personnel.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in process engineering, with a strong focus on process optimization and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in process simulation software and data analysis tools (e.g., Minitab, JMP).
• In-depth knowledge of chemical reaction engineering, thermodynamics, and separation processes.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders.
