Senior Chemical Engineer - Process Optimization

About the Role

Our client is seeking an accomplished Senior Chemical Engineer to join their dynamic team based in the heart of London . Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and evaluate existing chemical processes to identify areas for improvement and cost reduction.
• Design, develop, and implement innovative process modifications and new technologies.
• Conduct feasibility studies and pilot plant trials for proposed process changes.
• Develop and maintain detailed process documentation, including P&IDs and operating procedures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, production, and safety, to ensure successful project implementation.
• Troubleshoot complex process issues and provide technical guidance to plant operations teams.

Requirements

• Master's degree or PhD in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in chemical process design, development, and optimization.
• Proven expertise in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS) and data analysis tools.
• Strong understanding of chemical reaction engineering, thermodynamics, and fluid dynamics.
• Experience with HAZOP studies and process safety management (PSM) principles.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
