About the Role
Our client is seeking an accomplished and forward-thinking Senior Chemical Engineer to join their innovative team. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within the UK. You will be instrumental in driving process improvements and optimizing complex chemical operations across various projects. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of chemical engineering principles and a proven track record of implementing impactful solutions. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of process optimization strategies for chemical manufacturing.
- Conduct thorough process simulations and analyses to identify areas for efficiency gains and cost reduction.
- Develop and maintain detailed P&IDs, process flow diagrams, and operational manuals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, production, and quality assurance, to ensure seamless integration of new processes.
- Provide technical expertise and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
- Stay abreast of the latest industry trends, technologies, and regulatory requirements in chemical engineering .
Requirements
- Master's degree or PhD in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
- A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in chemical process design, analysis, and optimization.
- Proficiency with process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS) and data analysis tools.
- Demonstrated experience in scaling up chemical processes from laboratory to commercial production.
- Excellent understanding of safety protocols, HAZOP studies, and regulatory compliance within the chemical industry.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to present technical findings effectively.
