Our client is seeking an accomplished Senior Chemical Engineer to join their innovative operations team in Norwich . This role is critical for enhancing the efficiency, safety, and sustainability of our client's chemical manufacturing processes. You will lead projects focused on process analysis, optimization, and troubleshooting, employing advanced engineering principles and data-driven approaches. Key Responsibilities
- Analyze existing chemical processes to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, yield, and safety.
- Develop and implement process optimization strategies using statistical methods and simulation tools.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts for operational issues, identifying root causes and proposing effective solutions.
- Design and oversee pilot-scale and full-scale implementation of process modifications.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental, health, and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with R&D scientists to facilitate the scale-up of new chemical products and processes from lab to plant.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in process engineering within the chemical or pharmaceutical industry.
- Proven experience in process optimization , scale-up, and troubleshooting of chemical manufacturing operations.
- Proficiency with process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus) and data analysis tools.
- Strong understanding of chemical reaction engineering, thermodynamics, and mass transfer.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, project management abilities, and strong communication skills.
