Senior Chemical Engineer - Process Optimization

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly analytical Senior Chemical Engineer with a specialization in Process Optimization to join their team in Reading . This role is pivotal in enhancing the efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness of our chemical manufacturing operations. You will lead initiatives to identify and implement improvements across existing processes, utilizing data-driven methodologies and advanced engineering techniques. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the identification and implementation of process optimization projects to improve yield, throughput, and quality.
• Utilize statistical process control (SPC) and data analytics to monitor process performance and identify deviations.
• Conduct root cause analysis for production issues and develop effective corrective actions.
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and R&D teams to implement process changes.
• Develop and refine Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and training materials.
• Ensure all process changes comply with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in chemical process engineering, with a strong focus on optimization.
• Proficiency in process simulation, statistical analysis, and data visualization tools.
• Proven experience in leading process improvement projects and implementing Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Strong understanding of process safety management and risk assessment.
