Senior Chemical Engineer - Project Management

About the Role

Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Chemical Engineer with strong project management skills to join their team in Wolverhampton . This hybrid role combines the strategic oversight of projects with the flexibility of remote work, allowing for efficient management of complex chemical engineering initiatives. You will be responsible for the planning, execution, and delivery of various engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest technical and safety standards. This position requires a leader who can effectively manage resources and stakeholders in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage capital and process improvement projects from concept to completion.
• Develop project scopes, detailed plans, budgets, and schedules.
• Oversee project execution, including design, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.
• Manage cross-functional project teams and coordinate with external contractors and suppliers.
• Ensure projects comply with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance throughout the project lifecycle, utilizing both on-site and remote collaboration tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering .
• Proven experience (8+ years) in project engineering or project management within the chemical or process industries.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Experience with P&IDs, PFDs, and process design packages.
