About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Chemical Process Engineer to join their dynamic team in Aberdeen, Scotland . This role is pivotal in driving innovation and efficiency within our chemical processing operations. You will be instrumental in designing, optimizing, and troubleshooting complex chemical processes, ensuring they meet stringent safety, environmental, and quality standards. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement new chemical processes and optimize existing ones for improved efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Conduct process hazard analyses (PHAs) and implement safety measures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Perform detailed process simulations and modeling to predict and refine operational performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to plant operations and equipment performance.
- Collaborate with R&D, operations, and maintenance teams to ensure successful project execution and plant commissioning.
- Prepare technical reports, specifications, and project documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in process design and operations within the chemical industry.
- Proven experience with process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS).
- Strong understanding of chemical reaction engineering , thermodynamics, and fluid dynamics.
- Experience with safety protocols and environmental regulations relevant to chemical plants.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
