About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and innovative Senior Chemical Process Engineer to join their dynamic team in Aberdeen . Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of new chemical processes and equipment, ensuring compliance with all safety and environmental regulations.
- Optimize existing processes to improve yield, reduce waste, and enhance overall efficiency, utilizing advanced simulation and modeling tools.
- Conduct process hazard analyses (PHAs) and implement necessary safety measures to mitigate risks.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including R&D, operations, and project management, to ensure successful project execution.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex process issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions to maintain operational integrity.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in process engineering, preferably within the oil and gas or petrochemical industry.
- Proven track record in process design, simulation (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, PRO/II), and P&ID development.
- In-depth knowledge of process safety management (PSM) principles and hazard assessment techniques.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
