About the Role
Our client is seeking an accomplished Senior Chemical Process Engineer to contribute to their innovative projects based in Leicester . You will play a pivotal role in the design, development, and optimisation of chemical processes, ensuring efficiency, safety, and sustainability. This position offers the opportunity to work within a dynamic team environment, tackling complex engineering challenges and driving process improvements across various projects. Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop new chemical processes and optimize existing ones for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Conduct process simulations, hazard analyses, and risk assessments to ensure operational safety.
- Manage process engineering projects from conceptualisation through to implementation and commissioning.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, operations, and maintenance, to achieve project goals.
- Troubleshoot process issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
- Prepare technical reports, documentation, and present findings to stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in chemical process design and development.
- Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, CHEMCAD) and CAD tools.
- Thorough understanding of chemical engineering principles , thermodynamics, and fluid dynamics.
- Experience with project management methodologies and tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
