About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Chemical Process Engineer to join their innovative team based in Leicester . Key Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize chemical processes to enhance efficiency, yield, and product quality.
- Conduct process hazard analyses (PHAs) and implement safety improvements to minimize risks.
- Design, specify, and oversee the installation of new chemical processing equipment and modifications to existing systems.
- Troubleshoot operational issues, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective actions.
- Collaborate with research and development teams to scale up new products and processes from lab to commercial production.
- Prepare technical reports, documentation, and proposals for process improvements and capital projects.
Requirements
- BSc or higher degree in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in process engineering within the chemical or pharmaceutical industry.
- Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS) and CAD tools .
- Strong understanding of chemical reaction engineering, thermodynamics, and mass transfer principles.
- Proven experience in conducting Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs) and implementing safety protocols.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
