Senior Childminder

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and qualified Senior Childminder to provide exceptional home-based childcare in Cardiff . This role requires an individual who can create a safe, stimulating, and loving environment for children of various ages, fostering their early development through a structured yet flexible approach. You will be responsible for the daily care, education, and well-being of the children, working closely with parents to ensure their needs are met and exceeded, while adhering to all regulatory standards and best practices in childcare provision.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide a high-quality, safe, and stimulating childcare environment within your home.
• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities, games, and outings for children of all ages.
• Ensure the physical, emotional, social, and intellectual development of each child.
• Manage children's routines including feeding, napping, and hygiene with care and attention.
• Maintain detailed records of children's progress, achievements, and any significant incidents.
• Liaise regularly with parents regarding their child's development, well-being, and daily activities.

Requirements

• Registered Childminder status with relevant authorities (e.g., CIW in Wales).
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a registered childminder or in a similar childcare role.
• Up-to-date Paediatric First Aid certification.
• Thorough understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) principles and safeguarding regulations.
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient and caring demeanour.
