About the Role
Our client is seeking a seasoned Senior Civil Design Engineer to join their established team in Wolverhampton . This role is integral to the design and delivery of a wide array of civil engineering projects, including land development, infrastructure, and utilities. You will be responsible for leading design efforts, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring the technical integrity of all project outputs. The successful candidate will possess strong technical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality engineering solutions in an office environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design process for complex civil engineering projects, from conceptualization to detailed design.
- Produce high-quality technical drawings, specifications, and reports using AutoCAD Civil 3D .
- Conduct detailed calculations for earthworks, drainage, roads, and external works.
- Ensure designs comply with current UK standards, regulations, and best practices.
- Review the work of other engineers and technicians, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
- Collaborate effectively with clients, contractors, and internal teams to achieve project goals.
Requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 6 years of relevant professional experience in civil design.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, including experience with grading, drainage, and road design modules.
- Strong understanding of UK planning policy and building regulations pertinent to civil engineering.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to manage project tasks efficiently and meet deadlines.
