Senior Civil Engineer - Infrastructure Projects

About the Role

Our client, a leading engineering consultancy, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join their dynamic team in Aberdeen . This pivotal role involves leading and contributing to a variety of challenging infrastructure projects, from initial concept through to completion. You will play a key part in shaping the built environment, working on schemes that are vital to the region's development. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of civil engineering infrastructure, including road design , drainage, and earthworks.
• Prepare technical specifications, calculations, and reports for planning applications and regulatory submissions.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively, ensuring timely and cost-efficient project delivery.
• Conduct site visits and surveys to assess existing conditions and monitor construction progress.
• Liaise with clients, stakeholders, regulatory bodies, and contractors to ensure project objectives are met.

Requirements

• A degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline, with chartered engineer status (e.g., MICE) preferred.
• A minimum of 7 years' experience in civil engineering design and project management, with a strong focus on infrastructure.
• Proficiency in industry-standard design software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D , PDS, or similar.
• Comprehensive knowledge of UK building regulations, design standards, and health and safety legislation.
• Proven ability to manage complex projects and lead engineering teams effectively.
