About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Civil Engineer - Infrastructure to join their forward-thinking team, working remotely across the UK. This role focuses on the design and delivery of sustainable infrastructure solutions for a range of development projects. You will leverage your expertise to lead technical aspects of projects, mentor junior staff, and contribute to the strategic development of our infrastructure services. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer who values flexibility and autonomy, seeking to make a significant impact on national infrastructure projects from a remote setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of infrastructure projects, including highways, drainage, utilities, and public realm.
- Prepare comprehensive design reports, calculations, specifications, and drawings using industry-standard software.
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant national standards, building regulations, and environmental legislation.
- Manage project schedules and resources effectively to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Collaborate effectively with clients, consultants, and contractors to achieve project objectives.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians within the team.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in civil infrastructure design.
- Professional Engineer (PE) or Chartered Engineer (CEng) status is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in relevant design software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D , MicroDrainage , and PDS.
- Strong understanding of highway design, flood risk assessment, and sustainable drainage systems (SuDS).
- Excellent communication, leadership, and remote collaboration skills.
