About the Role
Our client is seeking a talented Senior Civil Engineer with expertise in site development to join their team in Plymouth . This hybrid role is essential for overseeing the planning and execution of civil engineering aspects for new developments, ensuring seamless integration of infrastructure such as roads, drainage, and utilities. You will work closely with planners, architects, and construction teams, providing technical leadership and ensuring projects meet regulatory and quality standards. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of site infrastructure, including earthworks, roadways, and drainage systems for residential and commercial projects.
- Conduct feasibility studies, site assessments, and prepare planning application drawings and reports.
- Ensure designs comply with all relevant national and local planning policies, building regulations, and environmental standards.
- Collaborate effectively with external consultants, local authorities, and construction contractors throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources for civil engineering workstreams.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians.
Requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in civil engineering, with a strong focus on site development and land engineering.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and relevant drainage design software.
- Solid understanding of planning processes, highway standards, and environmental regulations.
- Experience in managing projects from concept to completion.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders.
