Senior Civil Engineer - Structural Design

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Civil Engineer specializing in structural design to join their dynamic team. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within the UK. You will play a pivotal role in the conceptualization, design, and delivery of complex infrastructure projects, collaborating virtually with a talented group of engineers, architects, and project managers. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the structural design process for a variety of civil engineering projects, from concept to completion.
• Develop detailed structural drawings, specifications, and calculations using industry-standard software.
• Conduct site analysis and feasibility studies for new projects, providing technical recommendations.
• Collaborate effectively with project teams, clients, and stakeholders through virtual communication channels.
• Perform quality assurance checks and ensure compliance with all relevant building codes and regulations.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering their professional development within the team.

Requirements

• BEng or MEng in Civil Engineering or a related discipline, with a strong focus on structural engineering.
• Chartered Engineer (CEng) status with a recognized professional body (e.g., ICE, IStructE) is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in structural design, with a proven track record on significant projects.
• Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (e.g., Tekla Structural Designer, Revit, AutoCAD, Civil 3D).
• In-depth knowledge of UK building regulations, Eurocodes, and relevant design standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a remote setting.
