About the Role
Our client is seeking a proactive and experienced Senior Civil Engineer specializing in Urban Development to join their fully remote team. This role is vital for leading the civil engineering aspects of new residential, commercial, and mixed-use development projects across the UK. You will be responsible for site infrastructure design, including drainage, highways, utilities, and earthworks, ensuring projects meet all regulatory and client requirements from a remote working setup. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and coordination of all civil engineering elements for urban development projects, remotely.
- Develop site infrastructure plans, including roads, sewers, surface water management, and utility strategies.
- Prepare detailed technical drawings, reports, and specifications using industry-standard software.
- Liaise effectively with clients, planning authorities, utility companies, and contractors via virtual communication channels.
- Conduct remote reviews of design submissions and provide technical guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure compliance with national and local planning policies, building regulations, and environmental standards.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in civil engineering, with a focus on development infrastructure.
- Professional Engineer (PE) or Chartered Engineer (CEng) status is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant civil engineering design software.
- Proven ability to manage design processes and collaborate with stakeholders remotely.
- Strong understanding of UK planning and building regulations related to development projects.
