Senior Civil Engineer - Water Resources

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly capable Senior Civil Engineer specializing in water resources management to join their dedicated team in Plymouth . Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
• Develop hydraulic models for river systems, drainage networks, and water distribution systems.
• Conduct flood risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
• Prepare engineering designs, specifications, and environmental permits.
• Manage project teams, budgets, and schedules to ensure successful project delivery.
• Liaise with regulatory agencies, stakeholders, and clients on water resource matters in Plymouth .

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on water resources or environmental engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in water engineering, including hydraulics and hydrology.
• Proficiency in hydraulic modeling software (e.g., HEC-RAS, InfoWorks).
• Strong knowledge of UK water legislation and environmental regulations.
• Excellent project management and client liaison skills.
• Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or working towards it is desirable.
