Senior Civil Engineer - Water Resources

About the Role

Our client is searching for an accomplished Senior Civil Engineer specializing in water resources management to join their progressive team in Brighton . You will be instrumental in developing innovative solutions for water infrastructure projects, including drainage, flood defense, and water supply systems. Key Responsibilities

• Design and manage water resource projects, including hydraulic modeling, drainage systems, and flood risk assessments.
• Develop comprehensive plans for sustainable water management, wastewater treatment, and supply networks.
• Conduct environmental impact assessments and develop mitigation strategies related to water systems.
• Liaise with environmental agencies, local authorities, and stakeholders to ensure project compliance and approvals.
• Prepare detailed designs, specifications, and tender documents for water-related infrastructure.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to a team of civil engineers and technicians.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering with a water focus.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in water resources engineering.
• Proficiency in hydrological and hydraulic modeling software (e.g., InfoWorks, HEC-RAS).
• Strong understanding of UK water legislation, environmental regulations, and flood defense strategies.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience in project management and leading multidisciplinary teams.
