Senior Civil Engineer

Our client is a multidisciplinary design consultancy and are hiring within their Northampton office. They are UK based with 2 offices in the UK and undertake civil design on a wide variety of civil and structural engineering projects within the commercial, residential, industrial, healthcare and education sectors on projects up to 40 million in value. Established nearly 40 years ago, they are experts in the field providing civil and structural engineering and surveying consultancy services throughout the UK.What’s on offerHybrid working policyFlexitime policyWellbeing Employee Assistance Programme (EAP)Income protection schemeTraining and development programmeICE chartership mentoringMembership to professional institutions funded by the companyWhat you need to succeedHave a suitable civil engineering qualification with a minimum of 5 years’ experienceHave experience in the design of below ground foul and surface water drainage systemsBe capable of managing deadlines and organising your own workBe capable of overseeing the technical work undertaken by graduate and project civil engineers and assist in their trainingUse your initiative and work well as part of a teamBe able to write full detailed drainage strategies and verification reportsHave an in-depth knowledge of SuDS and flood risk assessmentsBe familiar with the MicroDrainage and/or the InfoDrainage software packagesIdeally have knowledge of 3D civil design softwareBe familiar with highways design and how it interacts with drainage designHold a full UK driving licence and have your own transportBe competent in producing drawings in AutoCADBe capable of liaising confidently with local authority planning departments and lead local flood authorities
