About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Civil Engineer to join their dynamic team in Leicester . This pivotal role will involve leading significant infrastructure projects from conception through to completion, ensuring adherence to all engineering standards, safety regulations, and project deadlines. You will play a crucial part in the design, planning, and supervision of projects that shape the local landscape, contributing to the development of essential community infrastructure. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of complex civil engineering projects, including roads, bridges, drainage systems, and utilities.
• Conduct site investigations, surveys, and technical analyses to assess project feasibility and identify potential challenges.
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and contract documents for tendering and construction.
• Oversee project execution, providing technical guidance, supervising site activities, and ensuring quality control.
• Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources effectively to ensure successful project delivery.
• Liaise with clients, regulatory bodies, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field; professional registration (e.g., MIStructE, MICE) is highly desirable.
• A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in civil engineering design and project management.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering infrastructure projects on time and within budget.
• Proficiency in relevant engineering software, such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and structural analysis tools.
• Strong understanding of UK building regulations, planning policies, and environmental legislation.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex technical challenges.
