Senior Civil Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Civil Engineer to join their dynamic team in Leicester . This role is pivotal in the design, planning, and supervision of infrastructure projects, ensuring they meet regulatory standards and client expectations. You will play a key part in delivering high-quality civil engineering solutions, from initial concept through to completion, contributing significantly to the development of local and national infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, excellent project management skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving within a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of civil engineering projects, including road, drainage, and utility infrastructure.
• Conduct site investigations, surveys, and technical assessments to gather project data.
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and contract documents using relevant software.
• Oversee project execution, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies to facilitate project progress and approvals.
• Mentor and guide junior engineering staff, fostering a culture of technical excellence and professional development.

Requirements

• A degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proven experience as a Civil Engineer , with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D) and other relevant engineering tools.
• In-depth knowledge of relevant building codes, standards, and regulations.
• Excellent project management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Chartered Engineer status (CEng) or eligibility for chartered status is advantageous.
