About the Role
Our client, a leading consultancy in the infrastructure and civil engineering sector, is seeking a highly experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join their dynamic team based in London . This pivotal role involves taking ownership of complex projects from conception through to completion, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, sustainable, and compliant engineering solutions. You will be instrumental in mentoring junior engineers and contributing to the strategic growth of the department, working on a variety of challenging and impactful projects across the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of civil engineering projects, including drainage, highways, and structural elements.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively to ensure on-time and within-budget delivery.
- Conduct site inspections, feasibility studies, and risk assessments to ensure project viability and safety.
- Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies to obtain necessary approvals and ensure project compliance.
- Prepare detailed technical reports, specifications, and contract documents.
- Mentor and guide junior civil engineers, fostering their professional development and technical skills.
Requirements
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or equivalent professional qualification.
- A minimum of 7 years' post-graduation experience in civil engineering design and project management.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale infrastructure projects.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant UK design standards, building regulations, and environmental legislation.
- Proficiency in industry-standard CAD and design software , such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
