About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Senior Civil Engineer to join their dynamic team based in Leicester . This role is pivotal in leading and contributing to a variety of challenging infrastructure projects across the region. You will be instrumental in the design, planning, and execution phases, ensuring projects meet stringent engineering standards, client expectations, and environmental regulations. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of civil engineering projects, including infrastructure, drainage, and structural elements.
- Conduct site investigations, feasibility studies, and impact assessments to inform project planning.
- Prepare detailed technical drawings, specifications, and contract documents using industry-standard software.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring successful project delivery within scope.
- Collaborate effectively with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance and smooth project progression.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to the project team.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Proven experience as a Civil Engineer , with a significant portion in a senior or lead capacity.
- Proficiency in civil engineering design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroDrainage).
- Strong understanding of UK building regulations, planning policies, and environmental legislation.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Professional accreditation, such as MICE or MIStructE, is highly advantageous.
