SENIOR CIVIL ENGINEER

Location: Bristol

Salary: £45,000 to £56,000 plus benefits

Ready to step into a Senior Civil Engineer role where you can lead projects, influence technical direction and help grow a high-performing civil engineering team? This is a rare opportunity to join a well-established, multi-disciplinary consultancy delivering residential, commercial and industrial developments across the UK, with clear progression toward Principal and Associate level.

As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will take ownership of the civil engineering elements of appraisal, planning and detailed design, acting as a key technical and client-facing lead while supporting and developing junior engineers.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead highways and drainage design for development projects
• Manage pre-purchase feasibility and discharge of planning conditions
• Oversee Flood Risk Assessments, drainage strategies and SuDS design
• Deliver S38, S278 and S104 technical approvals
• Produce and review drawings, calculations and 3D ground models
• Coordinate with architects, planners, authorities and statutory bodies
• Mentor engineers and support team development
• Contribute to fee proposals and scope management

About You

• Strong UK consultancy experience in development infrastructure
• Proven background in highways and drainage design
• Confident leading projects and managing technical delivery
• Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D and drainage software
• Client-focused, commercially aware and ambitious to progress
