About the Role
Our client is seeking an accomplished Senior Civil Engineer to join their innovative team in Cambridge . This hybrid role involves leading and contributing to a diverse range of civil engineering projects, including infrastructure, drainage, and development schemes, within Cambridgeshire and the wider region. You will be responsible for design, project management, and ensuring the technical excellence of projects. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of civil engineering projects, from feasibility studies through to detailed design and construction support.
- Prepare and review technical drawings, specifications, calculations, and reports for infrastructure and development schemes.
- Ensure designs comply with all relevant building regulations , environmental standards, and health and safety legislation.
- Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets effectively, working closely with project teams and stakeholders.
- Conduct site visits and inspections as required to monitor progress and resolve technical issues.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians within the team.
Requirements
- A degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Substantial experience in civil engineering design and project delivery.
- Membership of a professional engineering institution (e.g., ICE) is preferred.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D) and relevant engineering design tools.
- Strong understanding of drainage design, highways engineering , and general infrastructure principles.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage client relationships effectively.
