Our client is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to support water and infrastructure projects on a contract basis. The role will focus on civil design across flood risk, drainage, river engineering, flood alleviation schemes and reservoir projects, with flexible hybrid working available.Key Responsibilities:Designing and delivering civil engineering packages for water and flood risk projectsProviding technical input across drainage, river engineering and flood alleviation schemesSupporting the design and development of reservoir-related projectsLeading or coordinating civil design packages from concept through to deliveryPreparing technical reports, drawings, specifications and design documentationWorking collaboratively with engineers, project teams, clients and external stakeholdersEnsuring designs comply with relevant UK standards, regulations and project requirementsJob Requirements:Significant UK consultancy experience within civil engineering and the water sectorStrong experience in the design of flood risk, drainage, river engineering or flood alleviation schemesUnderstanding of reservoir projects and water-related infrastructureExperience designing, leading or delivering civil design packagesStrong technical, analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and report-writing abilitiesAbility to work effectively in a multidisciplinary consultancy environmentAvailability to start in the near term, with the contract suitable for work inside or outside scopeWorking Arrangements:Contract opportunity within the water and civil engineering sectorHybrid working availableThis is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Civil Engineer with UK consultancy experience to contribute to a range of technically challenging water and flood risk projects.
