About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Civil Engineer to join their dynamic team in Aberdeen . This role is crucial for leading and contributing to a variety of challenging infrastructure projects, from initial concept through to completion. You will play a key part in project delivery, ensuring technical excellence, adherence to budget, and timely execution. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of civil engineering principles and a proven track record of successfully managing complex projects in a collaborative environment, contributing to the company's reputation for delivering high-quality engineering solutions across Scotland and beyond.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of civil engineering projects , including site development, drainage, and transportation infrastructure.
- Conduct site investigations, surveys, and feasibility studies to assess project viability and identify potential challenges.
- Prepare detailed technical specifications, drawings, and contract documents for tender and construction phases.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively, ensuring project milestones are met.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and design teams, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
- Collaborate closely with clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities to ensure project compliance and stakeholder satisfaction.
Requirements
- A degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, with professional accreditation (e.g., MIStructE, MICE).
- A minimum of 7 years' experience in the design and management of civil infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency in civil engineering design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and relevant hydraulic modeling tools.
- Strong knowledge of UK building regulations, design codes, and environmental standards.
- Excellent project management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in site supervision and contract administration is advantageous.
