Job Description
Senior Civil Engineer
We're looking for an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join a growing civil engineering team delivering a diverse portfolio of infrastructure projects across the residential, commercial and highways sectors.
This is an excellent opportunity to take a lead role in the design and delivery of civil engineering schemes, while mentoring junior engineers and contributing to the continued growth of the business.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the design and delivery of highways and civil engineering projects from concept through to detailed design.
Produce designs for roads, access junctions, drainage, flood risk and infrastructure works.
Ensure designs comply with current standards, legislation and best practice.
Manage project delivery to programme and budget.
Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
Prepare technical reports and liaise with clients, local authorities and other stakeholders.Requirements
Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
Around 8+ years' post-graduate experience in civil/highway engineering.
Strong experience with highways design, drainage strategies and Section 278/184 schemes.
Knowledge of DMRB, Manual for Streets, LTN 1/20, NRSWA and highway adoption processes (S278, S38, S104).
Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Vehicle Tracking and drainage design software.
Excellent communication, organisation and project management skills.
Chartered status or working towards chartership (ICE/CIHT/CIWEM) is desirable.Desirable Experience
Public realm and active travel schemes.
Major highway infrastructure projects.
Utilities coordination.
Site supervision and monitoring.
Fee proposal preparation.
