Senior Civil Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join their dynamic team in Aberdeen . This is a critical role where you will lead and manage a variety of civil engineering projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will be instrumental in project planning, design, and execution, working on diverse infrastructure and development projects that shape the local landscape. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of civil engineering projects, including infrastructure, roads, drainage, and site development.
• Conduct site investigations, surveys, and technical assessments to inform project planning and execution.
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, calculations, and reports using relevant software.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring efficient and effective project delivery.
• Oversee construction activities, ensuring compliance with design specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to project teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in civil engineering design and project management.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D) and relevant engineering analysis tools.
• Strong understanding of UK building codes, regulations, and industry best practices.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or eligibility is highly desirable.
