About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Civil Engineer to join their dynamic team in London . This pivotal role involves leading and contributing to a variety of challenging civil engineering projects, from initial concept and design through to construction and completion. You will play a crucial part in ensuring that projects meet technical specifications, budget constraints, and strict regulatory standards. The successful candidate will be instrumental in mentoring junior engineers and fostering a culture of innovation and excellence within the engineering department, contributing directly to the company's reputation for delivering high-quality infrastructure solutions across the UK.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of complex civil engineering projects, including infrastructure, transportation, and land development.
• Conduct site investigations, surveys, and feasibility studies to assess project viability and identify potential challenges.
• Prepare detailed technical drawings, specifications, calculations, and reports using industry-standard software.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively, ensuring timely and cost-efficient project delivery.
• Collaborate with architects, contractors, clients, and regulatory bodies to ensure seamless project execution and compliance.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technical staff, fostering professional growth and development.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field is essential; a Master's degree is advantageous.
• Chartered Engineer (CEng) status with a relevant professional body (e.g., ICE) is highly preferred.
• A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in civil engineering design and project management.
• Proficiency in civil engineering design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar is required.
• Strong understanding of UK building regulations, planning policies, and environmental standards.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills are a must.
