Senior Civil Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Civil Engineer to lead a team of engineers on challenging infrastructure projects in and around Stoke-on-Trent . This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong technical background in civil engineering design and project delivery. You will be responsible for the technical integrity of projects, mentoring junior staff, and managing client relationships. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of civil engineering infrastructure projects, including roads, drainage, and earthworks.
• Manage project teams, providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Oversee the preparation of design drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant engineering standards, regulations, and client requirements.
• Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities to ensure project success.
• Review and approve engineering calculations, reports, and designs.

Requirements

• A degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Extensive experience as a Civil Engineer , with a significant portion in a senior or lead role.
• Proven ability to manage complex infrastructure projects from conception to completion.
• Strong knowledge of relevant design software and modelling tools.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Chartered Engineer status (e.g., MICE) is highly desirable.
