Senior Civil Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join their dynamic team in Aberdeen . This pivotal role involves leading and contributing to a variety of challenging infrastructure projects, ensuring designs meet rigorous technical standards and client expectations. You will play a key part in the project lifecycle, from initial concept and feasibility studies through to detailed design, construction support, and project completion. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of civil engineering projects, including site development, drainage systems, and transportation infrastructure.
• Prepare detailed technical specifications, drawings, and reports in compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor progress, quality, and safety during the construction phase.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineering staff and design teams.
• Collaborate effectively with clients, stakeholders, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to ensure project success.
• Perform engineering calculations and analysis using industry-standard software.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field; a Master's degree is advantageous.
• Professional Engineer (PE) or Chartered Engineer (CEng) qualification.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in civil engineering design and project management.
• Proficiency in civil engineering design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of UK building codes, standards, and environmental regulations.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
