Senior Civil Project Engineer – Water Industry

Location: Hampshire Contract: Long-term Contract Sector: Water / Wastewater

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Civil Project Engineer to join a leading Tier 1 contractor delivering a major programme of water and wastewater projects.

This is a long-term contract opportunity supporting a substantial AMP8 programme, with a strong pipeline of projects providing excellent continuity for the right person.

The Role

Responsibilities will include:

Managing and coordinating civil engineering activities across multiple projects

*

Providing technical and engineering support to Project Managers and site teams

*

Reviewing drawings, designs, specifications and technical submissions

*

Managing RFIs, design queries and engineering issues

*

Coordinating designers, subcontractors and supply-chain partners

*

Supporting construction planning, sequencing and buildability reviews

*

Managing civil interfaces with MEICA and other engineering disciplines

*

Ensuring works comply with specifications, quality requirements and relevant standards

*

Supporting RAMS, temporary works and technical documentation

*

Monitoring engineering progress against programme

*

Supporting commissioning, handover and project close-out

*

Identifying and resolving technical issues that could impact programme or delivery

Ideally, you will have:

*

Strong civil engineering and project delivery experience

*

Previous experience within the UK water or wastewater sector

*

Experience delivering projects on treatment works, pumping stations, process facilities or other operational sites

*

Good knowledge of design coordination and construction delivery

*

Experience working for a Tier 1 contractor or established specialist contractor

*

Experience managing subcontractors and engineering packages

*

The ability to coordinate multiple projects or workstreams

*

Strong communication and problem-solving skills

*

A relevant Civil Engineering qualification
