About the Role
Our client is looking for a highly experienced Senior Claims Handler to join their completely remote claims management team. This key position involves managing a caseload of complex and high-value insurance claims from inception to settlement, ensuring efficient, accurate, and empathetic service delivery. You will act as a mentor to junior handlers, contribute to process improvements, and uphold the company's commitment to exceptional customer care and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of complex insurance claims, ensuring timely and accurate resolution.
- Provide expert guidance and support to less experienced claims handlers.
- Interpret policy wordings and apply them accurately to claim circumstances.
- Negotiate settlements with policyholders and third parties effectively and professionally.
- Identify potential fraudulent claims and escalate them to the appropriate investigation teams.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of best practices within the claims department.
Requirements
- Extensive experience as a Claims Handler , with a proven ability to manage complex cases.
- Deep understanding of insurance principles, policy types, and claims procedures.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in claims management systems and relevant software.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage workload effectively in a remote setting.
