Key Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of insurance claims, ensuring prompt investigation, assessment, and settlement.
• Communicate clearly and empathetically with policyholders, providing updates and guidance throughout the claims process.
• Verify policy coverage and determine liability in accordance with policy terms and conditions.
• Negotiate settlements with claimants and third parties, aiming for fair and cost-effective resolutions.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of all claims activity in the claims management system.
• Mentor and support junior claims handlers, sharing knowledge and best practices.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Claims Handler , ideally with a focus on a specific insurance line.
• Strong understanding of claims investigation, assessment, and negotiation techniques.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Proficiency in using claims management software and standard office applications.
• Ability to manage workload effectively and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
