Key Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of complex insurance claims, investigating, assessing, and settling claims in line with policy terms and conditions.
• Conduct thorough investigations, gather necessary documentation, and liaise with relevant parties, including policyholders, witnesses, and legal professionals.
• Negotiate settlements within authority limits, ensuring fair and equitable outcomes for both the client and the policyholder.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of all claim activities, decisions, and communications on the claims management system.
• Identify potential fraudulent claims and escalate them to the appropriate investigation teams.
• Mentor junior claims handlers, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and knowledge.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Claims Handler or similar role within the insurance sector.
• In-depth understanding of various insurance policies and claims handling procedures.
• Excellent investigative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong negotiation and communication abilities, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency in using claims management software and standard office applications.
• Relevant professional qualifications or certifications in insurance are highly desirable.
