About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Cleaning Operative to oversee and perform high-standard cleaning duties within a commercial setting in Leicester . This role involves not only hands-on cleaning but also ensuring that cleaning protocols are meticulously followed by the team. Key Responsibilities

• Perform advanced cleaning tasks across all designated areas, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces to the highest standards.
• Ensure all cleaning equipment and supplies are maintained, stored properly, and used efficiently.
• Conduct regular inspections of cleaned areas to guarantee compliance with hygiene and safety regulations.
• Manage and replenish cleaning supplies as needed, reporting any stock deficiencies to management.
• Assist in training new cleaning staff on proper techniques and safety procedures.
• Respond promptly to any urgent cleaning requests or spillages, ensuring immediate attention.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Cleaning Operative or similar role, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or senior capacity.
• Solid understanding of cleaning chemicals , their safe usage, and disposal methods.
• Familiarity with industrial cleaning equipment and maintenance.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating excellent time management skills.
• Physical stamina to perform demanding cleaning tasks, including standing, bending, and lifting for extended periods.
