Senior Cloud Architect

About the Role

Our client is seeking a visionary Senior Cloud Architect to lead the design and implementation of their cloud strategy. This is a remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere in the UK. You will be responsible for designing scalable, resilient, and cost-effective cloud solutions that align with business objectives. This role requires a deep understanding of cloud technologies, infrastructure, and best practices. You will collaborate with various teams to define architectural standards, guide migration efforts, and ensure the security and compliance of cloud environments, driving innovation and digital transformation.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement secure, scalable, and highly available cloud architectures on platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Develop cloud strategy and roadmap, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical requirements.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance on cloud best practices, patterns, and services.
• Evaluate and recommend new cloud technologies and services to improve performance and efficiency.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to facilitate the migration of applications and services to the cloud.
• Ensure compliance with security standards and regulatory requirements within the cloud environment.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Cloud Architect or similar senior technical role.
• In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS , Azure, or Google Cloud, including their core services.
• Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Strong understanding of networking, security, and data management principles in cloud environments.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are highly desirable.
